I had in vitro fertilization in this center. They did it well. I am really happy to be able to have a kid now! Thanks to MedTour for organizing the whole treatment! It was even not that expensive as I thought.

Why patients choose Department for Orthopedics in LIV

MAKOplasty method— is a robotic surgery when replacing a joint. Compared to the standard replacement, the prosthesis is installed with smaller incisions. The patient experiences less postoperative pain, and the recovery process is faster.

Liv Hospital performs stem cell therapy for arthrosis, cartilage damage, sports injuries, meniscus injuries, ruptures of ligaments, and tendons. Stem cells derived from adipose tissue have the high regenerative ability and reduce pain. The clinic performs surgeries to increase height, lengthen the limb (arms and legs), and correct the curvature of the angular deformation of the bone after the fracture.

The department has received certification from the AOSpine Center and performs spinal surgeries of varying complexity.

    1
Why patients choose Department for Oncology in LIV

Robotic surgeries are performed in Liv for lung cancer, cancer of the kidney and prostate, rectum, and gynecological cancer.
Intraoperative radiation therapy (IORT) is an intensive radiation treatment that’s administered during surgery.
Compared to the standard radiation therapy which requires a 6-week treatment, IORT passes locally and does not damage healthy tissues. It allows direct radiation to the target area while sparing normal surrounding tissue. IORT is used to treat cancers that are difficult to remove during surgery and when there is a concern that microscopic amounts of cancer may remain.

Skin brachytherapy (Leipzig applicator) is performed in the early stages of squamous and basal cell skin cancer if approved by the surgeon and oncologist. It helps in avoiding cosmetic skin defects during surgery.

While undergoing chemotherapy, Liv doctors use Cold Cap therapy to prevent hair loss. A special cap is put on during the session and cools the head, blood vessels in the scalp narrow, and the concentration of the drug in the root of the hair decreases.

    1
Why patients choose Department for Neurosurgery in LIV

The department performs closed (intravenous) treatment of many vascular diseases of the head: aneurysm, malformation, stenosis of the carotid artery, which reduces the risk of postoperative complications in open surgery.
Fluorescence navigation technology during neurosurgeries helps to visualize a tumor, its boundaries with healthy brain tissue, and perform complete removal without damaging healthy tissue.

Neuronavigation systems can spot tumor locations with millimeter accuracy.
During brain tumors surgeries, a Hitachi Alpha Prosound 4 ultrasound device is used. This helps determine if the tumor has been completely removed.

Every Thursday, the department holds a meeting of the Oncology Council of the Liv Hospital, where doctors of different specialties share their experiences and discuss a difficult case to determine treatment tactics.

    1
Why patients choose Bariatric Center in LIV

The bariatric surgery team consists of a surgeon, cardiologist, pulmonologist, intensive care specialists, anesthetist and endocrinologist, nutritionist, psychologist, and nurse who together are very effective in the success of obesity surgery. This helps to look at the problem of obesity from different angles and solve it without health risks.

Liv Hospital performs laparoscopic surgery and robotic technology, which is known as the «permanent weight loss method». The first result of this method is visible after 6 months and takes up to 18 months.
