LIV Hospitals: Bahcesehir

Turkey, Istanbul
5.00
Excellent(5.001 review)

The University Hospital was built in 2016 in Istinya, a European neighborhood in Istanbul, incorporating 25 years of experience from MLP Care Medical Group.

With a total area of 65,000 square meters on 21 floors, it has more than 50 wards, ward sections, intensive care units and high-tech operating rooms for laparoscopic and robotic surgeries.

The clinic’s main areas of focus are:

  • Medical oncology,
  • Chronic pain management (Algology Center),
  • Aesthetic, plastic and reconstructive medicine,
  • Weight loss surgery,
  • Liver disease treatment.

The clinic is one of the few clinics in the country with an intensive care unit for children.

The Clinic of Aesthetic Medicine performs operations on the form and size of the nose (rhinoplasty), breasts, ears and other “problematic” areas.

Breast surgeries are done by applying a special “no touch” method, which means non contact implant placement through small incisions. The department specialists perform reconstructive surgeries after breast removal for patients suffering from oncology.

One of the main fields of activity of the department is reconstructive surgeries in patients with congenital malformations such as cleft palate or cleft lip.

Closed rhinoplasty with atraumatic accesses gives more favorable prognosis after surgeries, with less bruising and swelling. Doctors also specialize in removing moles and birthmarks.

Foreign patients choose the department of reconstructive surgery for performing microsurgical operations on fingers and hands. Using unique techniques, specialists resume motor function and fine motor skills.

Organ Transplant Center

The Liv Hospital Bahçeşehir Organ Transplant Center is one of the best centers in Turkey with high-tech equipment and internationally renowned specialists.
The clinic performs liver, kidney and pancreas transplantation from related donors. Organs are transplanted both for adults and children.

Thanks to many years of experience we have managed to achieve high survival rates of patients both in the postoperative period and after a long period of observation.
Complex multi organ transplants and combined interventions are performed in the department:

  • Simultaneous liver and kidney transplantation,
  • Pancreas transplantation and sleeve gastric resection.
  • Combined kidney, liver, and pancreas transplantation.

Doctors collaborate with the departments of medical oncology, abdominal surgery, interventional radiology and other fields to achieve a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.

Donor nephrectomy surgery is performed only laparoscopically, which improves overall health and reduces the risk of donor complications.

After transplantation patients are treated for 30 days in specially equipped wards. The unit is isolated from other units of the clinic, to reduce the risk of patients developing infectious complications.

Since its inception, more than 1,000 liver transplants and 5,000 kidney transplants have been successfully performed at the clinic.
The clinic has experience in liver and kidney transplantation in children under one year of age with low birth weight.

I had in vitro fertilization in this center. They did it well. I am really happy to be able to have a kid now! Thanks to MedTour for organizing the whole treatment! It was even not that expensive as I thought.
