    • Allotransplantation: organ transplantation from someone else’s, unrelated patient.

    Nuclear therapy Center

    Equipped with high-precision PET/CT, SPECT/CT and gamma camera.

    Radionuclide diagnostic methods are low-traumatic. They visualize body structures in high resolution and have a relatively low radiation dose.

    Modern methods of radiation diagnostics allow:

    • Identify tumor cells;
    • Determine the exact location of mutated cells;
    • Assess the nature of the tumor (benign or malignant);
    • Detect metastases;
    • Provide information on the presence of relapses and the effectiveness of the therapy;

    An innovative heart study at the nuclear therapy Center:

    Cardiac scintigraphy (a non-invasive procedure using a contrast agent) at Medipol is performed in a specially designed gamma camera. There are only 3 such high-tech systems for cardiac scintigraphy in Turkey, one of which is equipped in Medipol.

    This system has several advantages:

    • High quality visualization;
    • The radiation load is reduced by 4 times;
    • The residence time in the apparatus is reduced to 3 minutes;
    • Open design, which is important for claustrophobic patients.

    In addition to radiological examination of the heart, the Center for nuclear medicine performs scintigraphy:

    • With labeled leukocytes;
    • Bone tissue;
    • Leukocyte;
    • Thyroid gland;
    • The parathyroid glands;
    • Sentinel lymph nodes;
    • Kidney;
    • Bladder.
