Loewenstein is the largest rehabilitation center in Israel. Loewenstein is part of Clalit Health Services, the largest of Israel’s four public health facilities. This Israeli clinic has 300 inpatient beds.

    Robotic training complex LOCOMAT

    LOKOMAT is designed to practice walking. It reproduces normal walking, avoids muscle strain, and activates the areas of the brain that are responsible for walking. With it, patients train supporting muscles and learn to walk again. It is suitable for the rehabilitation of patients with the following diagnoses:

    • Spinal or traumatic brain injury;

    Head Controlled Mouse Computer Program

    This technology enables patients with hand paralysis to use the computer again. A wireless optical sensor is attached to the patient’s forehead. It works in the same way as a computer mouse, with the mouse pointer being controlled by the movement of the head.

    Mindfit program

    The hospital’s gym has 5 computer modules with Mindfit, a program to improve memory function and information processing.

    Recovery of driving skills

    In Loewenstein, people with congenital or acquired brain disorders (stroke, trauma, age-related changes) regain their driving skills. With occupational therapy, people improve their cognitive abilities and can drive a car again.
