    How is the treatment of oncohematology performed?

    The therapy protocol is individualized. The decision on the treatment tactics is made by a team of specialists: hematologists, oncologists, surgeons, pediatricians, geneticists and immunologists. This allows for a comprehensive approach to solving the patient’s problem.

    Therapeutic pathways:

    • Allo- and autologous bone marrow transplantation;

    Patients are treated in single rooms equipped with a HEPA filter system to prevent the risk of infection, which is very important after chemotherapy and during bone marrow transplantation.

    Memorial Transplant Center performed the first liver transplant in 2007 on a 14-year-old boy with a blood group incompatibility. Despite the difficulties, the child recovered quickly.
