Thyrotoxicosis treatment
Thyrotoxicosis syndrome, which consists in the excessive action of the hormones thyroxine and triiodothyronine (T4 and T3) on target organs, in most clinical cases is a consequence of thyroid pathology. Occurs in approximately 2% of women and 0.2% of men.
Symptoms of overt thyrotoxicosis include heat intolerance, palpitations, anxiety, fatigue, weight loss, muscle weakness, and, in women, irregular menses, tremor, tachycardia, lid lag, and warm moist skin
