Liver metastases treatment
Liver metastases/secondary liver cancer/metastatic liver disease – is a cancer that started in another part of the body and spread to the liver. Symptoms: loss of appetite, nausea, fatigue, weight loss, fever, yellow skin and dark coloured urine, itchy skin, abdomen pain, swelling of the abdomen, swelling of the ankles.
Diagnosis: physical exam, blood tests, imaging tests, biopsy, tumor markers, colonoscopy, laparoscopy.
Treatment options: systemic chemotherapy, Hepatic arterial infusion (HAI), Chemoembolization, targeted therapy, surgery, Radiofrequency ablation (RFA), Cryotherapy, Percutaneous ethanol injection, radiation therapy,hormonal therapy.
