Liver cancer treatment
More often than other organs, the liver is affected by metastases of other cancer types. Previously, only in the case of a tumor of one lobe it was possible to remove half of the liver.
Today, intravascular operations are used, such as chemo- and radioembolization of tumor arteries (SIRT). It helps to fight the disease even in case of extensive metastasis.
