Coxarthrosis can develop under the influence of various factors that lead to damage to the cartilage tissue and, as a result, destruction of bones.
Treatment is selected based on the cause of the disease, the degree of destruction of the cartilage, the age of the patient. Drug therapy is combined with physiotherapeutic methods, massage, physiotherapy exercises. With significant destruction of the hip joint, surgery is prescribed. During the operation, part of the pelvic and femoral bones that form the joint is removed, and a metal prosthesis is placed in their place. Rehabilitation after surgery can last from a week to 3 months.
