Atrial fibrillation treatment
Atrial fibrillation is a defect in the heart rhythm in which the atria contract too quickly and uncontrollably. This leads to an irregular heartbeat and can contribute to the formation of blood clots in the atrium.
Doctors diagnose atrial fibrillation using an electrocardiogram. Treatment for fibrillation includes drug therapy or surgery.
