Aortic aneurysm treatment

For diagnosis, X-ray, ultrasound and topographic studies are prescribed. Surgical treatment is performed if aneurysm in the abdominal cavity is found to be larger than 4 cm, the aorta of the thoracic region is from 5.5 to 6.0 cm, or the aneurysm is enlarged by more than 0.5 cm. In case of aortic rupture, emergency surgery is necessary.
