Nephroblastoma treatment
Nephroblastoma or Wilms tumor, is the most common renal cancer in the pediatric age group.
Diagnosis: Renal ultrasonography, chest X-ray, CT scan, MRI, blood test, chemistry profile, renal function, urinalysis, coagulation studies, cytogenetics, chemistry profile.
Treatment of Wilms tumor is usually nephrectomy followed by systemic chemotherapy, but some protocols initiate chemotherapy first and do the nephrectomy later.
