Brain cyst treatment

A brain cyst is a cavity that contains cerebrospinal fluid (CSF). Cysts can form anywhere in the skull. Cause of occurrence: duplication of the meninges or compression of the tissue of the medulla.

To make an accurate diagnosis and choose the most effective treatment method, a neurological examination, blood test, MRI or CT scan are performed to determine the size and location of the cyst.

The main method of treating a brain cyst is surgical removal. Many cysts do not require surgical treatment, as they are small and not prone to enlargement. Such formations require constant dynamic observation through the use of CT or MRI.
