Spizhenko Clinic: Radiosurgery Center

Ukraine, Kyiv

At the Spizhenko Clinic, patients undergo minimally invasive treatment of malignant and benign neoplasms with the help of radiosurgery. A single exposure to focused radiation destroys pathological foci in a targeted manner.

The main advantage is that there is no need for incisions and damage to the skin and other tissues. Another important feature is the high precision of exposure — about 0.5 mm. This allows doctors to treat tumors that are close to vital organs and brain centers.

Spizhenko’s doctors have been treating with radiosurgery since 2009. During this time, the clinic has seen 70,000 patients.

Modern equipment

The treatment is performed with the new radiosurgical system CyberKnife (CyberKnife G4). The treatment efficiency of brain neoplasms on the early stages is 98%. The device has high mobility and allows radiation from 1800 positions.

This means that doctors can create an individual treatment program based on the location and size of the tumor.

Comfortable infrastructure

Before radiosurgery, an MRI or CT scan is performed to simulate a three-dimensional picture of the tumor. All necessary examinations can be performed at Spizhenko. Diagnostics is performed within a few days, after which the patient can start the treatment immediately.
