The Oncology Center of Feofaniya Hospital includes a department of radiation therapy, PET-CT, chemoimmunotherapy and production of radiopharmaceuticals. This center annually treats more than 110 patients, including foreign ones.
Every year, ukrainian and foreign patients choose the chemotherapy department in Feofaniya to receive polychemotherapy. Every year, oncologists conduct up to 400 courses of polychemotherapy here.
All rooms of the center are equipped with modern devices for a successful therapeutic and rehabilitation period. Each room is provided with the necessary hygiene products and the Internet for the complete comfort of the patient.
Department of PET-CT
The center uses advanced PET-CT technology for the detailed diagnosis of cancerous tumors. The department contains the Biograph 64 True Point PET-CT system (Siemens) – this technology combines two modern methods:
- Positron emission tomography (PET),
- Computed tomography (CT).
This is a modern, gentle method for diagnosing tumors and it belongs to the methods of nuclear medicine. Using this method, it is possible to display metabolic processes in the cells of the body: highly active cancer cells accumulate glucose molecules more intensively and their radiation appears on the PET screen in the form of luminous dots. In this way, even millimeter tumor structures can be clearly recognized.
I was surprised because of the prices here! I did coronary stenting in this hospital and prices here are almost 20 times lower as in Germany! That's crazy, because the hospital was very modern and doctors have a lot of experience. I am very thankful that the medtour team recommended this hospital for me. I got picked up at the airport and transferred straight to my room in the hospital. I had always an English speaking nurse and my doctor could talk English fluently too! I wouldn't be able to organise my trip to Ukraine myself so fast, as medtour did it. Thank you a lot!
