1. Dental bridge
While manufacturing bridges experienced specialists apply only the highest quality materials used to cover teeth. Along with sintered bridges, zirconia ceramic bridges are often used in accordance with aesthetic requirements.
In the case of defects in the anterior teeth, doctors of Dentakademi use all-ceramic bridges. It is an alternative treatment option as they are more aesthetic than zirconia ceramic bridges.
2. Dental implant
Dental implants in the Dentakademi clinic are made of titanium. Titanium is able to grow together with the bone not causing an allergic reaction.
Who are implants suitable for?
The use of an implant removes multiple dental defects with no need for any procedures on adjacent intact teeth and with no need to apply dentures.
Edentulism is defined as the absence or complete loss of teeth. Treatment options include placing an implant or a full prosthesis (palate). Doctors of Dentakademi install a fixed prosthesis by placing 4 or more implants in the area where the patient has edentulism. In some cases, movable prostheses can be installed with support for 2 or 4 implants. Although they are flexible, implant-supported dentures are more comfortable than full dentures.
For the patient’s comfort, the doctors of Dentakademi perform the treatment using sedation (deep sleep). Sedation carries no risks of general anesthesia, as it is performed with sedative gas only, and the patient recovers quickly.
Thus, the clinic offers the most comfortable treatment process for patients who have strong phobias of dental procedures.
3. Dental crown
There are different types of crowns depending on the type of material. The most common are veneers, zirconia crowns, and e-max. Doctors of the Dentakademi Dental Center choose an individually suitable type of crown for each patient after the detailed exam.
Types of dental crowns:
Metal-coated ceramic crowns (porcelain). However, this high-quality and aesthetic product may have trouble transmitting the light naturally.
Ceramic crowns on zirconia. Zirconium-based crowns are aesthetic and as close as possible to a natural tooth. The zirconium eliminates the risk of allergies, provides a healthier gum fit, and also has a much higher light transmittance than the cermet crown. The white color of zirconium does not present a problem for light transmission for porcelain covering on a zirconium base, in contrast to covering on a metal base.
All-ceramic crowns. This type of crown is almost indistinguishable from natural teeth and considered to be the best one. The light transmittance is quite high since it does not contain an opaque substrate such as metal or zirconium. Since this covering is thinner, the amount of material removed from the tooth surface is also reduced.
All-ceramic or composite veneers. Ceramic or composite veneers have a maximum thickness of 0.3 – 0.7 mm; they are applied with slight abrasion from the visible front surface of the teeth, but without such reduction as with conventional tooth sections. Since ceramic veneers are entirely made of porcelain, they are aesthetically superior to composites.
Covering teeth with crowns at the Dentakademi clinic takes from 7 to 10 days, but it varies depending on the number of teeth that require treatment.
