How is the IVF procedure performed at the Adonis Family Medical Center?
Artificial insemination takes place in several stages:
- Hormonal stimulation of superovulation — carried out with the help of drugs and ensures the maturation of many follicles.
- Follicle puncture under ultrasound control. The procedure is performed under anesthesia. The embryologist evaluates the quantity and quality of eggs and prepares them for fertilization.
- Fertilization of oocytes. A sperm is injected into mature eggs. A few days later, the fertility doctor selects the best 1-2 embryos and prepares them for the transfer of the mother’s uterus.
- Transfer of embryos into the uterine cavity under ultrasound control. The duration of the procedure is 5 minutes. After that, the doctor prescribes medicines for the favorable development of the embryo.
- A woman is conducting a pregnancy test.
