Center for liver, pancreas surgery and transplantation — one of the few medical institutions in Ukraine where surgeons perform liver transplants. The head of the center, Oleg Kotenko, performed over 12 000 operations on the abdominal and retroperitoneal organs. The center’s specialists studied in the best surgical clinics in America, Japan, South Korea and France.
The advantage of the center’s surgeons is that they work in three areas at once: transplantology, oncology and surgery. Specialists accept both adult patients and children.
Oberig surgeons use the following methods:
- Japanese technique Enblock removal of a part of the liver in case of tumors;
- Japanese method «Mesenterical approach» for pancreatic cancer;
- The Japanese method of transplanting a part of the liver from a living donor;

- Korean method of transplantation from 2 related donors;
