Basic Check-Up Program

A standard body check-up helps to detect internal organ disorders. It includes these tests:

• Columnar and biochemical blood tests;
• Monitoring of urine/feces;
• Chest radiography;
• Utrasound diagnostics (ultrasound) of the abdomen and pelvis;
• Laboratory examination of kidney, liver and thyroid function.

Extended diagnostic programs include a basic check-up and additional examinations.

Check-up diagnostics for men

In addition to basic tests, the man undergoes a consultation with a urologist. The doctor performs urologic examination and ultrasound examination of the prostate. The lab measures male sex hormone levels and PSA (prostate-specific antigen) to detect prostate cancer at an early stage. The male check-up contains different tests depending on the cost of the program and the age of the patient. Typically, there are programs under the age of 35, 35 to 60, and over 60.

Check-up diagnostics for women

Preventive examination of women focuses on the hormonal and reproductive system. You will be offered a consultation with a gynecologist and a gynecological exam and a vaginal or cervical smear will be taken. Instrumental examinations include:

• Thyroid, breast and pelvic ultrasound;
• Pulmonary fluorography;
• Mammography (breast X-ray).

Depending on age, the women’s diagnostic program may differ just as much as the men’s.

Children’s Check-Up

The pediatric check-up is supplemented by consultations with a pediatrician, ophthalmologist, dentist and otorhinolaryngologist. In addition to standard tests, look for helminths and chronic foci of infection.

Continued Programs

Some clinics offer programs for patients to examine specific organs and systems:

• Memory and brain function tests;
• Sleep quality test;
• Allergological examination;
• Cardiovascular examination;
• Oncology check-up.

The check-up does not require any special preparation. The day before the examination, you should refrain from taking alcohol and tobacco, intensive physical activity and food that can cause excessive gas formation in the stomach and intestines (legumes, sodas, cabbage, smoked foods).

The examination begins in the morning, on an empty stomach. You can drink non-carbonated water during the examination.
