Ruslan Chichula is an oncosurgeon of the highest category at the Research Department of Head and Neck Tumors at the National Cancer Institute of Ukraine. He performs operations of any category of complexity, including organ-preserving surgical interventions with simultaneous reconstructive plastic surgery of postoperative defects using both local tissues and various vascularized grafts.

Ruslan Chichula also performs complex combined-advanced operations for locally advanced tumors of the head and neck with simultaneous or delayed plasty of postoperative defects.

In addition to medical practice, Dr. Chichula is engaged in scientific activities. He is the author of 12 scientific and practical publications published in prestigious medical journals. He also actively participates in thematic conferences, symposiums, seminars both in Ukraine and abroad.

• development and introduction into practice of organ-preserving, extended-combined and reconstructive-plastic surgeries, which are aimed at improving the effectiveness of treatment and improving the quality of life of patients with malignant tumors of the head and neck;
• development of individualized approaches to the volume of lymph node dissection in the treatment of regional metastases of malignant tumors of the head and neck.
