About doctor Nikolai Guk
Nikolai Guk is a doctor of medical sciences, a neurosurgeon of the highest category, currently working in the Department of Endonasal Skull Base Surgery and is the Chief Researcher of the Department of Neurooncology and Pediatric Neurosurgery of the Romodanov Institute of Neurosurgery of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine.
After graduating from the Bogomolets National Medical University and completing his specialization, Nikolai Guk began working as a neurosurgeon. Here, in 2008, he defended his Ph.D., and in 2017 – his doctoral dissertation in the specialty “neurosurgery”.
The scientific and practical activities of Dr. Guk are related to the surgical treatment of skull base tumors, endoscopic and minimally invasive neurosurgery, and neurooncology. Over the years of practice, Nikolai Guk has performed more than 2,000 neurooncological operations. He undergoes regular internships in leading clinics in Europe.
The Department of Endonasal Skull Base Neurosurgery, where Dr. Guk works, is the leading department of the institute in the field of neurooncology and the introduction of modern endoscopic technologies.
