Jaroslav Tvaruzhek is an experienced surgeon, medical director and chief physician of the Center for Robotic Surgery at St. Zdislava Hospital in the Czech Republic. Since the early 90s he has been actively involved in surgery. He worked as a surgeon, first in Germany, and since 1994 in the Czech Republic.
Dr. Tvaruzhek is one of the first surgeons to master minimally invasive surgery using laparoscopic techniques. Since 2007, the main focus of the doctor’s activity has been the development of robotic surgery in the Czech Republic. Jaroslav Tvaruzhek has assembled a team of doctors who, since 2008, have been performing the largest number of operations using the da Vinci robotic system in the Czech Republic.
Dr. Tvaruzhek performs a wide range of surgical procedures, including bariatric weight loss surgery. However, his main focus is robotic surgery. In total, the doctor has already performed 4,200 operations using the da Vinci robot.
