About doctor Per-Ulf Tunn

Priv. Doz. Dr. med. Per-Ulf Tunn is the Chief Physician of the Orthopaedic Oncology Department, specializing in bone and soft tissue neoplasms (benign bone tumors, bone metastases, bone sarcoma, soft tissue sarcoma, pathologies at the intersection of orthopedics and oncology).

Dr. Tunn is the author of the encyclopedia “Treatment of bone and soft tissue sarcoma”, he is the author of 20 monographs and 68 scientific articles. His close attention is focused on methods of diagnosis and treatment of soft tissue sarcomas, Ewing’s sarcoma, osteosarcomas and chondrosarcomas.

  • 1995-1997 – Associate Professor in Nuclear Medicine.
  • 1997-1998 – Physician in the Department of Orthopedic Oncology at the Buch Campus of the Charité Clinic.
  • 1998-2007 – Senior physician, then head of the Department of Orthopedic Oncology and Oncological Surgery in the Department of Orthopedic Oncology at the Buch Campus of the Charité Clinic.
  • 2001 – 2017 – Internship in Orthopedic Oncology at MGH in Boston, USA.
  • 2007 – 2017 — Head of the Department of Musculoskeletal Tumors and the Sarcoma Center at the Helios Clinic Berlin-Brandenburg, as well as Head of the Center for Orthopedics and Traumatology at the Helios Clinic Berlin-Buch.
  • Since 2017 – Head of the Department of Orthopedic Oncology at the Helios Clinic Berlin-Buch.
