About doctor Necdet Uskent
Necdet Üskent is a leading medical oncologist and hematologist-oncologist in Turkey.
Prof. Üskent works at Anadolu Clinic, Istanbul, Turkey. He has been the director of the Medical Oncology Department at the clinic since 2010. The doctor is the founder of the Turkish Oncology Group (TOG).
For 40 years he has been treating oncology with chemotherapy and new therapies: immunotherapy, targeted therapy, monoclonal antibody therapy. The doctor treats oncological diseases of the blood, tumors of internal organs, and the female genital system.
He was part of the team of specialists who performed the first bone marrow transplantation in Turkey. He is certified by the European Society of Medical Oncology (ESMO). He did his internship in medical oncology in Dallas hospital, USA.
Necdet Üskent is the author of more than 120 scientific papers published in international journals. For many years he was a visiting lecturer at Royal Free Hospital and University College London. He is the author of 11 book chapters on the treatment of oncology.
