Dr. Dinesh Khullar is the Head of the Department of Nephrology and Kidney Transplantation at Max Super Speciality Hospital, Saket, New Delhi.
He is responsible for development, quality control, clinical governance, physician recruitment, certification and academic activities for the DNB program and clinical fellowship, as well as he is directly responsible for research activities.
Dr. Khullar has an extensive experience of over 25 years as a renal transplantation physician. He has performed more than 5,000 successful renal transplants, including over 1,200 at Max Hospital, Saket.
The doctor has a proven track record of performing the most complex transplants, such as ABO-incompatible, in highly sensitized recipients and high-risk transplants associated with significant comorbidities.
Dr. Khullar has led the establishment of North India’s first online hemodiafiltration unit, which aims to provide advanced and modern dialysis.
Dr. Khullar has participated in various research activities and served as the lead national investigator in several clinical trials, including the landmark DAPA-CKD and Transform trials, among many others.
He has been published numerous times in national and international journals and edited the book “Lupus Nephritis — Pathogenesis and Current Treatment.”
Dr. Khullar has numerous publications in national and international professional journals. He has delivered scientific presentations at international conferences multiple times.
