Andrii Kovalchuk is a surgeon, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Director of the Stem Cell Bank of LLC “Genome”, Head of the Bank of Cord Blood, Human Tissues and Cells at the Ivan Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University.

Dr. Kovalchuk is the author and developer of the technology of laser routing of cell autografts, which he introduced into clinical practice in collaboration with the outstanding plastic surgeon Rostislav Valikhnovsky.

• 2014 – Head of the Department of Burn Injury and Plastic Surgery of the Ternopil City Emergency Hospital;
• 2018 – organizer and head of the cord blood, tissue and human cell bank based at Ternopil National Medical University named after Ivan Gorbachevsky;

Andrii Kovalchuk is also an active participant in international seminars and conferences, the author of 42 scientific papers and 8 patents. Under his leadership, a series of innovative medical devices “DK-717” was developed, the production base (mass production) of which was organized in Ternopil in 2012. A series of high-tech equipment for skin transplantation is widely used in surgical hospitals and is used in most burn departments of hospitals in Ukraine.
