Professor Ahmet Ober is a famous radiation oncologist from Turkey. He specializes in the treatment of malignant breast tumors.
Ahmet Ober graduated from the University of Istanbul, after which he studied for a year in London at the Royal Marsden Hospital. Then he returned to the Cerrahpasa Faculty of Medicine, where he became an associate professor in 1985 and a professor in 1992. In 2008, he left his position as a professor at the Cerrahpasa Faculty of Medicine. In addition, Ahmet Ober held a number of leadership positions in various cancer societies and associations, for example, from 1996 to 2006 he was a member of the board of the Association of Radiation Oncology, from 2002 to 2004 he was president of the Association of Radiation Oncology. In 1998, he became coordinator of the Breast Cancer Continuing Education Program and is still involved in this area.
