Aortic valve insufficiency treatment
Aortic valve insufficiency is a defect in the aortic valve that does not close completely. This pathology causes regurgitation — some of the blood returns back to the ventricle.
Inflammation is the most common cause of valve leaflet damage. Bacterial inflammation or rheumatism changes the structure of the leaflets and causes valve failure.
Diagnostics: chest x-ray, ECG, echocardiogram, cardiac catheterization.
With a severe degree of insufficiency and the absence of proper treatment, the backflow of blood leads to an overload of the heart. In this case, surgical valve replacement, reconstruction, or prosthetics are required.
MedTour patients recommend clinics for the treatment of aortic valve insufficiency:

Patient reviews
I was surprised because of the prices here! I did coronary stenting in this hospital and prices here are almost 20 times lower as in Germany! That's crazy, because the hospital was very modern and doctors have a lot of experience. I am very thankful that the medtour team recommended this hospital for me. I got picked up at the airport and transferred straight to my room in the hospital. I had always an English speaking nurse and my doctor could talk English fluently too! I wouldn't be able to organise my trip to Ukraine myself so fast, as medtour did it. Thank you a lot!
